We partner with technology / consulting companies to deliver value
to the end clients. We do not directly work with user industry,
as we believe that our partners are in best position to understand
their needs and can service them the best.
Over the years, we have worked with companies having varying needs
and with diverse working arrangements. Based on this experience,
we have developed three working models, at least one of which should
match your requirements with or without modification.
Our commitment to "partnership" model of working starts
from your first contact with us. It will be our top management,
that will interact with you, address all your solutions and work
out a win-win formula to team up as partners.
We study your current business and solution delivery model and
suggest places where we can fit in to improve your cost efficiency.
This can be any place in your Software
development cycle.
We even map our quality and documentation systems to that of yours,
so that your project, marketing & management teams experience
seamless integration of our teams working with you. Thus all documents
/ communication you receive from us will be in YOUR format.
Fixed bid projects
Probably the simplest way to get started with us. Jus give us the
project specifications, your delivery and budget expectation. We
come back to you with our fixed bid for the project with defined
specifications. Additional charges for any work related to additions
or changes in specifications are quoted in man days. Iota ensures
that a defect free delivery is provided before the deadline. The
payments are based on milestones namely basic design, detailed design,
prototype/screen shots, module wise on delivery and after successful
client testing. This model essentially transfers the risk of cost
overrun from the partner to iota. Recent study shows that the overall
cost of fixed bid projects given to iota ranges from 40% to 60%
of the project if it is developed in house by the partner. Please
feel free to send specifications for your proposed projects to verify
the fact.
Man-months based project billing
For partners willing to deal with the uncertainties themselves,
and for projects where specifications are not very clear for each
phase of the project, this option works out better than fixed bid
projects. The partner identifies the project type and provides the
specifications to iota, and also outlines the team size and skills
required to be deployed for the project. A project manager, interacts
with partner keeping him updated about progress. The project management
setup is flexible and the partner can get involved into it at a
level desired by him. Billing is done on weekly basis based on the
resources allocated to the project. The resources allocated to project
can either be used for the offshore work and can also travel to
partner's place or partner's client's place for onsite work.
Dedicated offshore software development setup
For partners having a very high volume of software development
work every year, and for those who would like to have a direct control
over there team, iota acts as a facilitator to setup a dedicated
software development team, infrastructure and take care of all administrative
aspects in India. The partner directly works with team, decides
the jobs to be allocated and projects to be executed etc. In nutshell,
it is like having a subsidiary for software development in India
for which all administrative matters are taken care of and the partner
has to concentrate only on project execution through a project manager.
This kind of service requires an initial setup charges and monthly
fixed charges for all the services provided. The same setup can
also be used to source programmers or consultants for onsite assignments.
Training of such personnel on partner's proprietary technologies
can be carried out before This works out to be most economical and
flexible option for high volume of software development. The setup
can further grow into a joint venture company, if the partner is
keen to have a financial participation in the venture.
